Ah, March in Houston. If one moves here from somewhere else during this month (and October equally-so), one would get the impression of a wonderful year-round climate. Such was that of my grandmother upon her arrival here in 1950 (though she actually came in January). Of course she and every other newbie went on to experience summer. 92 degrees may not be much, but add a good dollop of humidity and you have a Finnish sauna.

Kudos to my pal Rachael of Snapecast who finished the infernal Texas Bar Exam on Thursday and is at this moment decompressing. In early May, she will get the result of her test-taking, but knowing her, she will come away with a very good score.

Many congrats to Joe White upon his coming marriage on St. Patrick’s Day! Speaking of wedding bells, my little brother is getting hitched in, of all places, Central Park in New York City in May. The ceremony will be a simple twenty-minute affair with so few people, we could literally sneak in, perform the thing, and get away before anyone notices. However, Ian and Randi are chickening out and getting a permit.

And yes indeed, Palmer’s appearances at the ACDA National Convention in Miami is coming — this coming week, in fact. As fun as it will be, I know my directors at Palmer will be glad when the thing is over and done — allowing them to get onto Easter and the trip to Wells. More on that to come…
